Regan De Wynter Williams Producers of fine theatre

Salad Days was first performed at the Theatre Royal, Bristol, in June 1954, and was subsequently transferred into London at the Vaudeville Theatre in August of the same year. It became the UK’s longest running show of it’s time, running for 2,283 performances, and held the title until it was taken over by Oliver! in 1960. The original production won Most Enjoyable Show at the 1955 Evening Standard Awards. Julian Slade and Dorothy Reynolds’ timeless musical is an absolute romp of polite naughtiness and saucy encounters, that puts a smile on your face and a tap in your toes.

If I could see one play every evening for the next 12 months, it would be this one. ★★★★ BRITISH THEATRE

This production opened at The Union Theatre in August 2017 and transferred to Theatre Royal Bath in September 2017 where it was triumphantly received. It toured the UK in Autumn 2018.

Reviews

One of the most enjoyable shows ever written. Wonderful, simple and touching.
★★★★ Broadway World
It's a show that famously inspired a seven-year-old Cameron Mackintosh to fall in love with the theatre, and this production made me realise why that might be.
★★★★ The Stage
A production full of the “feel good factor” and right now this is a perfect antidote to the outside world
★★★★ Theatre Bath
